We are starting to learn about money and finances. Create a character, set a goal, and go around town making money to reach your goal! Click on Money Metropolis to play. I think they had fun learning about earning and saving money! Don't forget that you can get free breakfast at McDonald's tomorrow. Mom, dad, or another adult must be with you. See y'all tomorrow! Taking a break from STAAR practice, we took a moment to act out a shirt play about Patriots and Loyalists, a topic we're learning about in social studies. My class practiced a few times reading the play before they stood up and acted it out. It was a great way to build reading comprehension as well as social studies and historical knowledge. My class came to PE today to play and I decided to join them. We had a lot of fun! So much fun! Today we will practice taking a STAAR L test on the computer in the computer lab.
Follow the link to access the tutorial: http://www.texasassessment.com/administrations/STAAR-L/tutorials/ There were two students who worked really hard this month, were mostly responsible with their homework and classroom assignments, and have been helpful with our new students.
We had a fun Friday today playing learning games, hands on math centers, and preparing for the upcoming reading, math, and science star tests. We ended the day with the new scholastic book order books, bookmarks, and stickers. Can you tell what we got? I realized today that I had some photos to share from last week. Enjoy!
Today on the Computer you will go to the Blendspace lesson on Metric Measurement. Watch the videos in order. When you get to the virtual nerd video, take notes on what she says. You will practice this skill more tomorrow.
First, watch video 1. Then watch video two and take notes. Look at image three to help with the bonus part of the notes page. Finish up by playing the game (number 4). Be sure to cut and glue the NOTES page in your math notebook! |
