I love you all! <3 Mrs. Meyer
I still have the tablets that we used in our LC classroom, and use them constantly in my new position. I love looking back at the pictures and videos that were taken with them, so I will post them here for you to use too. I say it all the time, but I was so lucky to have been your teacher, you were wonderful students who worked hard and made coming to school so fun. I miss you all and hope you are doing well in school and all your activities. If you have any sports games or school events, please let me know about them and I will do my best to come see you! I love you all! <3 Mrs. Meyer I am blown away after looking at our classroom stats. This shows me that there are so many visitors to our classroom website and they want to see what you're up to and doing. Remember that we are digital citizens and must be careful about what we put online. keep personal information private so that you can stay safe!
Visitors- please say hello and share where you're from. I'd love to know how far and wide my little class website has gone! I was able to go to Carter Park today and was able to see my former students. I am so glad that I was able to see them at lunch, in their classroom, and after school! I miss everyone, but I know they are learning so much with their new classmates and teacher! I loved being your teacher and I am excited about what you will accomplish this school year. I love you all, and I always will 💜 Mrs. Meyer
Dear Language Center Students, As it is nearly time to go back to school, I want to share with you some news. I have graduated from Lamar University with my masters in Educational Administration and am excited about completing that difficult challenge of going back to school while continuing to teach my amazing class. During the last school year, a wonderful opportunity came up and I participated in a series of training for Direct Interactive Instruction. I learned so much about becoming a better teacher that I applied to become an instructional coach with Fort Worth ISD for the DII program. I am happy to say that I was selected, however I will not be returning to Carter Park Elementary. I know you will all go on to have a wonderful 2016-2017 school year with your new teachers. Please know that I treasure our memories and will continue to support you in your educational journey. I have loved being your teacher, Language Center is the best!
Love always, Mrs. Meyer
I am so proud of how hard my class has worked this year. We started off very small and grew very large at the end of the year. I have loved working with you all and helping you learn. 5th graders (now 6th graders) I am going to miss you so much. Please know that I am willing to help and support you in any way possible, just reach out to me on Remind, my website, or by calling me!!! 4th graders (now 5thies) I am so excited to be with you again next school year. Work hard this summer to practice English so that we can start of the school year strong!
Have a wonderful summer! <3 Mrs. Meyer
I read a book called Sideways Stories from Wayside School and just found it was turned into a tv series with a mini-movie! Enjoy!
Today we had an exciting morning! Carter Park elementary had a special guest to help us get STAAR ready! It's Game Time! Mr. Keith Davis is a former college and professional football player. He brought a friend from Honolulu, Hawaii named Isaac Tauaefa to get us pumped up and excited for our STAAR game time next week! Reach for it! Big dream! Push! Focus! Check your work! Don't give up, champions get up! Get started to be great! Second half- you can win! 3- education, excellence! Be a dream maker, not a dream breaker! work hard and be ready to win! Im strong, I'm smart, and I got heart! 💜 it was so cool and exciting to be on stage and hear from these athletes that you can accomplish anything if you reach for your goals!
